Lost Trail sits on a quiet, forested stretch of Coldstream Canyon outside Truckee, with direct access to the Sierra Crest. The whole lodge is yours: private bedrooms, full bathrooms, a big great room and wrap-around deck, and a wood fire for the evenings. Warm, communal, and genuinely remote — built for groups who want to stay deep in the mountains together.

Summer & fall · drive in

Reach the lodge via Cold Stream Road — an unpaved forest road best driven in an AWD or 4×4 vehicle. Once you're in, it's hiking, biking, fishing, and long evenings on the deck.

Winter & spring · ski in

When the snow flies, park near Donner and make the over-snow approach by ski or snowshoe — a genuine backcountry arrival. Backcountry touring and cat skiing are right out the door.
